Frequently Asked Questions

  • I do not accept insurance, and here’s why: Working outside of insurance allows me to offer you the highest level of personalized, one-on-one care—without being limited by what your insurance will or won’t cover.

Unlike conventional, insurance-based practices that often rush visits or limit how many sessions you can have, my approach is deeply individualized and rooted in finding the WHY behind your symptoms. You’ll work directly with me—a functional nutritionist specializing in women’s hormone health—every step of the way.

Insurance companies can dictate the frequency, type, and length of care. By staying out-of-network, I can design a plan based entirely on your unique needs, goals, and preferences. No matter what symptoms you’re dealing with on your perimenopause journey, I prioritize what will help you feel like yourself again—not what an insurance company decides is or isn’t "medically necessary."

In many cases, this approach leads to faster, more sustainable results and may even save you money over time when you factor in deductibles, copays, and surprise bills common with insurance-based care.

My focus is your long-term healing, not short-term symptom management or a band-aid fix. You're investing in your health and 1:1 care that puts you at the center—not red tape.scription text goes here

  • The first step is to schedule a free 30-minute discovery call. This is a zero-pressure conversation where you can share what you’ve been struggling with, your health goals, and ask any questions about working together.

If we decide it’s a good fit, you’ll choose the coaching package that best meets your needs (ranging from 1 to 6 months). From there, we’ll begin the onboarding process—which includes a detailed intake form, food and mood journal, and an HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) test kit shipped right to your door. Once we have your results, we’ll map out a personalized plan and begin your 1:1 support journey.

Let’s take the first step together—you don’t have to navigate this alone.

  • You don’t have to figure that out alone! During our free strategy call, we’ll talk through what you’re currently experiencing, your goals, and the level of support you’re looking for. I’ll walk you through the package options (ranging from 1 to 6 months) and recommend the one that best fits your needs.

We’ll also discuss payment options—each package has flexible payment plans available to make your investment more manageable. My goal is to make sure you feel supported, both in your health journey and in your decision to move forward.

  • As a CertifiedNutritional Therapy Practitioner, my approach goes beyond meal plans, clinical assessments, the food pyramid and calorie counting. I look at the root causes behind your symptoms by assessing how all systems in the body are connected—digestion, hormones, stress, minerals, and more.

While dietitians often focus on diagnosing and managing conditions with standardized nutrition guidelines, I take a personalized, functional approach that’s bio-individual. That means we work together to understand your body’s unique needs, using tools like HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis), detailed intake assessments, and food and mood journals to guide your plan.

This is about more than just what you eat—it’s about restoring balance, building resilience, and helping you feel at home in your body again, especially during the complex transitions of perimenopause.

  • Yes, absolutely! Many of my clients are on medications or hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when we start working together. My role isn’t to replace your doctor, but to support your body through nutrition, mineral balance, and lifestyle strategies that complement your current care. We’ll focus on helping your body function better, reduce symptoms, and restore balance—whether you’re on medications or not.

  • Definitely. My work is designed to complement—not compete with—your existing medical care. I often work alongside other providers to help fill in the gaps with functional, nutrition-focused support. While your doctor may be managing labs or medications, I help you take practical, day-to-day steps to support your healing through food, minerals, nervous system support, and lifestyle strategies tailored to your unique needs.

  • HTMA stands for Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis — a non-invasive lab test that measures the mineral levels and heavy metal exposure stored in your hair.

Minerals are the body’s “spark plugs”-they are required to activate more than 200,00 enzymes in teh body. Did you know that mineral levels in the hair are 10 times more than in your blood?! HTMA can show how the body’s systems are off and how to correct it with nutrition and diet. This is a cost effective, accurate and reliable way to test.

I use HTMA in my practice because it provides deep insight into your body’s metabolism, stress response, thyroid health, digestion, adrenal function, and mineral imbalances — things that standard blood work often misses.

For women in their 40’s and 50’s navigating perimenopause, HTMA is especially powerful. It helps uncover root causes of symptoms like fatigue, anxiety, poor sleep, weight fluctuations, and hormone chaos — by showing how your body is functioning at a cellular level.

It’s not just about isolated symptoms — HTMA helps me understand your whole picture, so we can create a personalized, root-cause approach to healing that actually works.

  • Rather than giving you a one-size-fits-all meal plan, I help you build nourishing meals that support your unique body, symptoms, and lifestyle. We focus on creating balanced, blood sugar-stabilizing meals that are doable and satisfying—with plenty of guidance, recipes, and support along the way.

You'll learn how to confidently choose and prepare foods that work for you, not against you—so you’re not just following a plan, you’re building lasting habits that support your hormones, energy, and overall well-being.

  • Not at all! My goal isn’t to take away the foods you love—it’s to help you understand how to support your body while still enjoying your life. Together, we’ll explore how certain foods may be impacting your symptoms and work on finding nourishing swaps or balancing strategies that work for you.

This isn’t about restriction—it’s about giving your body what it needs to thrive, while still making space for enjoyment, flexibility, and real-life eating. Food should be both healing and satisfying.

  • I hear this all the time from the women I work with—and I get it. If you’ve tried protocols, restrictive diets, or “quick fixes” that didn’t last, you’re not alone. What makes this work different is that we’re not just treating symptoms—we’re uncovering and addressing the root causes behind them.

Through personalized support, HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis), and a whole-body approach, we focus on what your body needs to restore balance, energy, and resilience. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all plan—it’s a partnership built around you. So that you can finally have lasting results.

  • Every woman is different, and healing isn’t always linear—but many of my clients begin to notice shifts within the first few weeks, especially when we stabilize blood sugar and begin supporting mineral balance.

That said, this work is about creating long-term, sustainable change—not just short-term symptom relief. You’ll likely feel better as we go, but the deeper transformation happens over time. You deserve a plan that supports your healing and honors your pace.

At the end of your coaching package, we’ll re-evaluate your progress and adjust the frequency of visits if needed—whether that means ongoing support, a lighter touch, or celebrating your success and stepping into maintenance. This journey is fully tailored to you.

  • While I specialize in supporting women in perimenopause, the tools I use—like mineral balancing, nervous system support, and functional nutrition—can help with a wide range of concerns. Many of my clients also deal with thyroid issues, chronic fatigue, endometriosis, heavy periods, PCOS, and many more symptoms that tie into hormone imbalances.

If your body feels out of balance, you’re dealing with symptoms and you're looking for root-cause support, you're in the right place—even if you're not sure exactly what stage you’re in. I can help you!

  • Yes—but only when they’re truly needed. I use professional-grade supplements targeted to your lab results, symptoms, and goals. My approach is “less is more”—we want to support your body gently and effectively, not overload it with pills.. I’m a food first practitioner first and foremost and rely on supplements to “supplement”.

You’ll always understand why something is recommended, and I’ll help you prioritize based on your needs and your budget

  • Absolutely. Many of my clients are managing these kinds of diagnoses, and they’ve found that functional nutrition offers the missing piece of support.

I don’t diagnose or treat disease—but I do help you understand how to support your body’s underlying systems (like hormones, digestion, adrenal health, and minerals) so you can feel better and work with—not against—your body.

  • That’s totally fine. My approach is always personalized—so whether you’re gluten-free, dairy-free, low histamine, or just figuring out what your body needs, we’ll create a plan that works for you. No rigid rules or cookie-cutter diets—just real food and realistic support.

  • Yes—I respect and honor your reasons for choosing a vegetarian lifestyle, whether they’re ethical, spiritual, or personal. I’m here to support you in a way that feels aligned with your values.

That said, in my experience and training, I’ve found that incorporating high-quality animal protein is one of the most effective and efficient ways to support hormone balance, mineral replenishment, and overall healing—especially in perimenopause.

If you’re a vegetarian and open to exploring the idea of including some animal protein (even small amounts), I’m happy to meet you where you are and work together to see what feels right for your body. My approach is always bio-individual and rooted in compassion, not pressure or judgment.

  • HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis) is my preferred functional lab because it offers powerful insights into your body’s mineral status, adrenal function, metabolic type, and how your body is responding to long-term stress—all without requiring blood draws or complicated prep.

I love using HTMA because it’s affordable, non-invasive, and helps us see what’s going on under the surface—often before symptoms show up on standard labs.

That said, depending on your symptoms and history, I may recommend or review additional labs (like hormone panels, GI testing, or blood work), or refer you to another trusted provider if deeper testing is needed. My goal is always to use the most effective and accessible tools to guide your healing.
